At the beginning I was very set on using my Animoji, but now I am thinking that if i want to keep the same style throughout the entire video I probably shouldn’t use it but i’m still thinking about it.
DRAWING MYSELF & ANIMATING FRAME BY FRAME ON FLIP A CLIP
I did a lot of research on different animation software such as ToonBoom: used by a lot of professional animators, and even used at Disney. Another being, Adobe Character Animate and Adobe Animate. After watching tutorials on all attempting to use them to see which would be best for me, I decided the 3 softwares were a bit complicated. I’m going to strictly use the app Flipaclip to animate my character and anything else.
I want my Backgrounds to be very detailed and realistic, they are being created using the app Procreate. Each one takes me about an hour to draw.
I have been contemplating on whether or not to add music. I think adding it would really add something more to the video. These are some songs I love and that I feel like I can incorporate into the video

I got a lot of good feedback from the cards, but the comment that the guests gave about me being careful and mindful that my project might not come out the way I want it to at the end really got me thinking. I started to reevaluate my idea. I ‘m thinking it would be better to simplify the things that I want to be in the video.
Instead of animating my commute, I could start the video with an animoji of myself singing one of my favorite songs and then have a transition.

Since I want to put myself into the video I am having trouble finding a cartoon style. I am use to doing very realistic portraits, but I am going to see which cartoon style I feel best fits.

I teamed up with Connor for the critiques, he gave me a lot of insights on what I should do for my Poland Spring rebrand idea. And then he told me about his romance video, he spoke of it so passionately that it made me realize that I was not at all passionate about rebranding poland springs. So then I told him about this cartoon/ animated video and he thought it was good. He told me that I should do something I’m interested in. He pretty much helped me make up my mind since I had so many different ideas.
I need to draw out the scenes, be extremely careful and organized with my layers.
Then I need to look at each scene closely and see what i want to move. I need to save each scene separately as MP4’s then use after effects to make specfic effects.
I need to watch After Effect and premier pro tutorials.
These are all required.
I want to do an animated video/ motion graphic. I have always been so interested in learning about animation and I feel like this is a great opportunity to do so. I have a passion for drawing digital self portraits of people but they don’ t move or do anything, I want to make them do fun and crazy things like winking or even saying hi.
I feel like I want to put myself in the video. I want to cartoon myself and then tell my story of all the self portraits I’ve made and people I’ve met. The result would hopefully be this very fun and bold colored visual of my story. The viewer of this video would be anyone really looking to watch something random and entertaining, like a cat video on youtube.
